Mandrake 10 community and XMMS

Everytime i try to install the XMMS rpm (any version) on the new Mandrake 10 community, i always get

Some package requested cannot be installed:
xmms-1.2.10-1mdk.i586 (due to unsatisfied libxmms1[== 1.2.10-1mdk])
do you agree ?

this looks like you are trying to install only the xmms rpm, but not the rpm with the libraries required for it to run.

try this:

- start RPMDrake for installing packages
- find and check the XMMS package
- a window should pop up saying "To satisffy dependencies...", click ok/yes/...
- if the window doesn't appear(strange), search for "libxmms" and check that too
- and install
