Hi,

I've been using Mandrake 10.0 without any problems, apart from not reading my card reader properly, which was a bit discouraging considering the success i had with Suse.

Anyway, I decided to stick by Mandrake since everything else was fine. I've upgraded to 10.1 CE Download after hearing comments of it being pretty much stable already. I have to say I agree mostly apart form the above problem.

When I put in any data DVD, for example my Suse DVD, or an DVD with all my MP3s on, it is Mounted automatically. However, when I try to put in a Video DVD it wont mount it, and when I check in the mounted folder it's still empty.

Also, I cant manually mount it because it says the device is busy or already mounted???

Any ideas on why this would happen? If you need my fstab file let me know.

Have you right clicked on the ikon to unmount, before putting in the dvd.

I have this problem with 10.0 and movie dvd's sometimes, after this it allows it to mount.

I have no idea why it sometimes thinks it's mounted when there is nothing in the drive.

That makes no difference with my prob unfortunately. I can swap and change DVD's no problem as long as its data, or mp3 or anythin else, but when i put movie dvd's in it simply doesn't read

it seems to be kind of bug or some DVD copyright protection

MPlayer plays all the video DVD's correctly, even if I can not mount them or browse contents of disc.
