Try going in to interactive setup by pressing "i" in verbose mode during boot and then tell it no when it asks you to check for new hardware after that just choose "c" on the next item to continue to boot normaly. After that check hardrake for any specific issue or errors pertaining to your mouse. You might be able to figure out a solution there.
