sitka LQ Newbie Registered: Nov 2003 Location: London, UK Distribution: Ubuntu 10.10 Posts: 28 Rep:	Mandrake 10.1 slow booting up I have Mandrake 10.1 and it has been running sweet as anything for months. All of a sudden it takes ages to load, It used to delay progress when loading Postfix mail server, so I turned this off. The boot process now stops at 'KHeader', and then switches to text mode. I can log in normally from here and 'startx' to get my GUI going, but this is clearly not right. I have checked my inettab file to check the run level - at 5 where it needs to be. Anyone got any ideas?
