Mandrake 10.1... free download?

Hey everyone

I was just curious about something. On Mandrakes website they show that Mandrake 10.1 community is a free download and Official you have to be a member. I downloaded 10.0 Official without being a member so I'm confused.

Is Mandrake 10.1 Official something that they eventually release to the general public? Or have they changed it now you have to be a member or else you don't get it.

Last but not least, what's the difference between teh community version and the Official version? I sort of got the impression that the community version was like a beta, but it appears that I am wrong

If someone could take the time to answer my questions, that would be great.

Thanks

Official is the final version. It will be released to the general public in a few weeks. Members get to download it now.

Community vs official is sort of like a beta version. That is my understanding. Community can update to official once updates are out.

Gotcha. That's what I thought, but I thought that I would ask. Thanks.
