Mandrake 10.1 64 Bit

I've just downloaded the "free" version of 10.1 DVD version i got from an FTP server. When trying to install drivers it said something like "Wrong drivers, mandrake is running on 32bit mode and the drivers are for 64bit mode"

I thought when doing a fresh install mandrake would see what CPU you got and would install the "right" kernel. When typing :

uname -m

It says "i686" so it's running on 32bit mode. Can't i install the "right" kernel afterworths ? Or am i overseeing something ?

I see you can buy a special 64 bit version of mandrake 10.1. So i guess it's only possible to run on 64 bit when purchasing the package ? Will it have support for SLi ? Cuz 120 Euro for mandrake only running on 64 bit is a bit expensive

I didn't found any mandrake DVD in the ftp. I found just these 3 CD.
here is an example of FTP
ftp://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/dist...el/iso/x86_64/
I downloaded them and tryied to install MDK but there was some problem with first CD maybe it was just a problem with bad download.
Then I selected just few packeges for instalation and it runs good. the system runs quite fast.

good luck with 64 bits
