mandrake 10.0 problems (xfree86)
Ok, I'm a complete n00b to linux. And i have a few questions.
I downloaded 3 disks for linux, and i was never prompted to install the other 2 discs. After the first disc was done, i was told install complete and restart cpu.
After installing the 1st disc, the only things not compatable on my cpu were the sound card and network card. No big deal i can tweek those later.
After restating my cpu i get to the command prompt. I type startx to get hte graphical interface going. This is where i have trouble. It fails and says "caught signal 4. Server aborting"
It tells me to look for the lates version in the XFree86 CVS repository.
Ive been to their site but am immedialy lost.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
