Is there any program or something similar to the RedHat media check process that will check the install CDs after I have burned them? I've searched around and can't seem to find an answer.
I checked the md5sums of the iso images and they match up. I tried 2 times to install; first time the install process froze up while trying to resize a Windows XP partition, second time I resized the Windows partition prior to installing using Partition Magic to make some free space. It then hung up on installing the packages from the second CD.
So, what I want to find out if they burned correctly before wasting more CDs to try it again. If it could be another issue other than the content of the CDs, please let me know.
I dont think the content of cds is the problem. You need to supply some more info. Size of your hard disk . ahhh just a thought why dont we try a text install .at the first screen press F1 and sellect text install .If no luck please post back with as much info about your syste m as you can.

Sorry if it's not alligned well. Anyway, there should be about 10 G of free space that I created with Partition Magic from the NTFS partition (I think it's hda7, but not listed here).
I don't know what sort of partitions to create and where to mount them. I'm sure this question has been asked before, so I will search around, but it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me here. Thanks in advance.
***edit***
After some reading I came up with some questions; do I need 2 different swap partitions for Madrake and Fedora? And do is the Mandrake filesystem mounted on / as well? Thanks again.
