mail files where are they/

Want to save my thunderbird, kmail and procmail files to do a backup.

Where are they stored on Mdk?

Wouldn't this completly depend on your email server? I just switched mine earlier and all my old messages disappeared.

That's why I want to back them up. I have seen before a listing of where Kmail and Thunderbird stores these, but have forgotten where?

I tried looking through preferences/setup but there doesn't seem to be a file option.

mail in mandriva

i use mandriva limited edition 2005
I found all my mail in /home/<username>/.Mail
i have mounted the .Mail directory on its own partition.
however in mandrake 10.1 the directory .Mail was found elsewhere in /home/<username> but the name was still .Mail

They should be in your home directory. Open Konquerer, go to your home directory, and click on view > show hidden files and see if they "appear".

Yes, found them on each users directory as hidden files.

Also, found Thunderbird as well as Kmail.

When using Procmail I found these files in etc/mail/procmail directory.

Which meant a lot of running round. This leads to another question then is there a good
backup program for all these files and hopefully included /var/www/html and mysql databases?
