I messed up my OS and had to do an upgrade reinstall and I got everything back except the sound. Here's the error messages: Sound server informational message: sound sever suspended. Sound server warning message: Can't set real time scheduling priority. You need to run artswrapper as root. This means that you will likely not be able to produce acceptable sound(i.e. w/o clicks and breaks). I was trying to install kaffeine and it wanted "libXinerana.so.6". So when I installed it it took out alot of other stuff and I had to reinstall to get XFree86 back. Now I have no sound. Heeellllpppp! It also said something about "setuid root". I have no idea as to what this means.

I have no idea what all that means, either. Try playing around in the Mandrake Control Center in the sound card area under Hardware. Good luck!
