Looking for DVD Burning software - Recomendations
I have just installed a new DVD burner, I am looking for suggestions for software that will work with my Mandrake 10.0 install.

Thanks, Eric

K3b is first rate.

dvdauthor can construct DVD video filesystems, but it's command-line only.

It appears that K3B is for KDE. What do you recomend for Gnome?

I used to use gtoaster for burning in Gnome, but I'm not sure if it supports DVD buring yet.

As long as you have the KDE libs installed you can run K3b on Gnome though - Mandrake is a KDE distro, so I'd imagine you have the KDE libs.

I really appreciate your help, looks like we have two separate threads going here. I am an old coder, but newer to Linux and I am learning very fast.

Anyway, as I stated in the other thread, I am having problems installing updates and rpm's using the Mandrake tools. I have downloaded the updated Mandrake 10.0 cd's and I am planning on doing a re-install. I have installed Mandrake 10.0 KDE on my laptop and I really like it, so I will most likely be installing KDE on my home system that has the DVD burner.

I will reply back to this thread once I am able to update the system.

Thanks again, Eric
