Logging in problems

I seem to have a problem. I forgot my password and made no user. how can i log in now?

I.e. you forgot your root password...?

If this is the case, you'll need to log in using a boot disk, and exiting to a shell when prompted. This will give you root access, and you can then add a new user, etc.

Cheers,

You can most likely use the first installation disk of whichever distro it is that you've just installed.

You'll have to select "rescue system", "root console" or somesuch.
