LILO Booting Problem...please help!

Hi,

Just installed Mandrake 9.2 rc1.
I have two harddrives, hda is running windows xp
and a partition on hdb is mandrake.

The install went fine, as a boot loader I chose LILO (graphical).
It installed to the MBR on hda.

Now when I try and boot all I get is:

L 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 etc. etc.

And is doesn't boot up. I can ofcourse change it back to the windows default booter, however the only way I have to boot into Linux is via boot disk (which is a pain).

Does anyone know why this is happening?

have you erased or modified any files on windows partition?
i ran into something like this once when i accidently removed a files from my windows partition.

Can you post your lilo.conf file?

su to root user in a shell

kedit /etc/lilo.conf

I'd first try installing lilo again. Boot linux from the floppy, login, open a konsole, become root and then do
lilo -v
Look out for any error messages. If there aren't any, try booting again.
