libstdc++ differences

i am trying to install BitDefender in my laptop. However a dependency issue happened. the package needed the libstdc++-librc6.2-2.so.3....

well, i used the install packages in gui 'configure you computer' section and found out that i have to install libstdc++2.10-2.96-0.83mdk....

i have downloaded it already. however through the course of the search i can't believe that mandrake won't have a gcc library so i searched through the mandrakelinux.com and found out that i have the available packages:

libstdc++5-3.3.2-6mdk.i586
libstdc++5-devel-3.3.2-6mdk.i586

so i am not sure if i have a problem with my installers . if not, what is the difference with libstdc++5-..... and libstdc++2.10-....... ? how should i install the BitDefender? should i really need to install the libstdc++2.10-2.96-0.83mdk? would there be any conflict?

PS
yes, most of the guys told me that i dont need to have an antivirus. well, iam just safety conscious.
why BitDefender? -well i donthave much time when in comes to tweaking. a bit of a concern using fprot and clamav(i heard from reviews).
why Mandrake? - the best distro out there that is a pain to the people in Redmond. i hope Sun would stop its plan against linux. Microsoft tried that but really failed. i hope they would learn that lesson.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
