Latest Mandrake kernel-2.6.0 test4
 

Question to my Linux friends:

Did anyone tried to compile the kernel-2.6.0 test4?

I upgrade 9.1 with PCLINUXONLINE (Texstars) KDE3.1.3

I do get compile errors a lot.

Please advice me.

I have the same problem but I have not got my answer yet.

I think the problem is with gcc-3.x

I am looking for the solution. If you found one tell me either.

try reading this kernel upgrade guide http://kerneltrap.org/node/view/799 for the most part it got me going in the right direction, but the compile command that actually worked for me is

"make clean;make bzImage;make modules;make modules_install;make install"

note there is no more "make dep". the majic of the 2.6 kernel i guess.

I can not find the gcc version for Mandrake as RPM!

I'm very interested in people giving these perfect information, because everybody needs it to finish 2.6.0 a.s.a.p and start 2.7.0!
