LAN Configuration on Gome on Mandrake 10.1

Hey there and thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I upgraded to Mandrake 10.1 and I am in a college LAN that runs a windows 2000 server.

In order to access network resources, I need to enter my user name and password, which I can do with KDE but not with GNOME.

KDE pops up a dialog box to input the username and password.

Nautilus does not do so, it simply says that I don't have the permission to access the resource.
I was wondering if anyone had come accross this and knows how to configure the network authentication.

Any ideas are very apprechiated,

Roland

Have you tried to do it as "root"?
