Konqueror Mouse Button Question

I am running MDK9.1 and Konqueror 3.1.0. In file management mode left-click opens a file or folder, rather than selecting it. How do I change this behavior to select, with double left-click opening the object? I have been unable to find such an option in Konqueror settings.

in a KDE environment single click is the default mode ...
so i dont' think its a matter of how to shut it off in konqueror, as
i think you have to go to KDE menu, Configuration, KDE, Peripherals, Mouse
and then shut it off in there ...

KDE Menu? Do you mean KDE Control Center?

If so, then under >peripherals>mouse, Double-click to open files and folders(select icons on first click) is aready selected.
