Konqueror Browser Freezes....?

When I try to open my Konqueror browser it freezes and I get this message :

"a script on this page is causing KHTML to freeze. If it continues to run, other applications other applications may become lss responsive."

"Do you want to....?

Abort of Continue...?

I have to click on of the above and it doesn't matter what I select, it does not correct itself.

Any suggestions on how to clear this up?

I'd suggest removing and reinstalling Konqueror.

I tried doing this by running updates, but now when I boot, nvidia graphics does not come up and I cant startx, even if I run init 3 command, what can I do, other than reinstalling to get my grpahics back up?

XFdrake command - would not work, kept dumping me back to the black screen of death.

MCC command would work, but when I tried reconfiguring display, it would not reconfigure.

rpm -e --nodeps konqueror

without flag "--nodeps" it flushes half the system away

My main problem was Konqueror would freeze because Mandriva had changed their home page. I would not recommend removing Konqueror, unless you are prepared to deal with the consequences of losing your graphics.

Final solution: I downloaded Mandriva 2008 and burned new ISO.

Only formated hda5 and not my home.

Made minor reinstallation of kopete, java2run time and so on to get everything up and going.

Also with Mandriva 2008, I was able to mount my windows hard drives and park some of my more important files, just in case disaster struck.

When I say Konqueror browser would freeze, I meant, I would get these pop up messages saying it was hanging up, if I kept clicking continue, it would eventually work, it just became annoying.

Anyway I am back-up and running with Mandriva 2008.
