Kmix menubar in KDE has disappeared
Dear all,
I am just starting out, two weeks old. I use Mandrake 9. I have a simple query. I use KDE (default). I wanted to have the sound icon in systray. Hence, I launched KMix. On clicking a command (I forgot which) in main taskbar there were several options. I clicked on the option to hide menu. It was hidden. But now I want the menu back. Is there any shortcut key or some config file for this. It is irritating.
Thanx.

Right click anywhere on the Kmix window. In the pop-up menu is the option to open the menu bar

Hi mdg,
On right click, all other earlier options were there, except "show menu". Any command line options for this? Will uninstalling and reinstalling help? But package manager does not list kmix as a program. I wonder that I have to uninstall the whole KDE multimedia package and reinstall. Quite frustrating.
Thanx.

What other options do you see? There should be <device selected> at the top and under that:
Split Cannels
Muted
Hide
Define Keys...
Show All
Show Menubar
If you don't see that, try opening the Kmix window and typing Ctrl+M. That toggles the menu on and off
