kicker panel in root missing?
 

Using the 10.2 version in the root window I cannot restore the whole kicker panel.

I have tried the config panel but am unable to restore the kickers virtual windows and panel on the panel bar. This change has taken place since the 10.1 version, so anyone know how to restore it.

I have read the panels handbook but cannot figure out what Mandrake has done to hide this.

any help would be appreciated.

You are not really supposed to be using KDE or any Desktop Environment as root because of security issues as well as to prevent you from damaging the system. aything that you need to do as root, can be done whils you are logged into a normal user account using "su", "su -" and sudo.
