I cannot access my floppy drive. I can't even format it! I tried to remount it, even with different mount types, but it still doesn't work. I tried several different floppy disks, but that didn't work either. I need help, and fast! I need this for my CCNA 3 final!

What's in your /etc/fstab? What happens when you run mount /media/floppy (or wherever it is) from a terminal as root?

What about using the mtools instead of mounting/unmounting your device?
(See mcopy, mdel, mdir, ...)
(man mtools; apt-get install mtools; ...)

Hope it helps.
