Kernel header (include) files - where do i find these

I've followed the how to instructions in LQ on installing my radeon gfx drivers.

in the howto it says check to see if following installed

glibc version 2.2 or 2.3
X.org 6.8
Kernel source code
Kernel header (include) files
GCC compiler
Make utility

I followed how to update to X.org 6.8 and installed the ati drivers

but when i run fglrxinfo it is reporting

display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.2.1)

i believe i have installed everything but not sure about the 'kernel header (include) files' and 'GCC compiler'

when installing everything it reported 100% and didn't display any errors

do i have to manually edit the xorg.conf file or is there a possibility i have missed something

thanks in advance for any replies, as would like to opengl working via my ati

Install the libxorg-x11-devel libraries.

thanks,

I tried that but just kept sticking in a loop - i forced it down somehow but still unable to get opengl working.

i've reinstalled mandrake as thing stuffed up the kernel, etc but now have another query which I've posted seperately

regards
