KDE and Gnome

How do I change to Gnome from KDE? I've searched and can't find anyplace to change it . It boots right into KDE without asking for user either. How do you change that? Other then thoughs little things, 10 is looking pretty good so far. I just installed it today from being on Fedora Core 1.

Thanks for the help.

first of all you have to have Gnome installed too...

in older KDEs there was an application called something like "Desktop switcher" that allowed to do this, but I'm not sure whether it's there anymore...possibly not. Check if your ~/.xinitrc -file has any line in it that tells to start KDE or something...if it does, then change it to gnome-session and that should work. but there is a chance the file is either empty or does not have any lines like that...then I don't know. you could check man-pages of xinit, startx etc. to see their config files locations and see them through or something...

or then just remove KDE and (re?)install Gnome. that's the last change but anyway, I almost forgot: if you have a session manager like KDM or GDM that starts and asks for passwords, you should be able to use it to switch the desktop. or if you don't, then install one (try it out) GDM is quite good-looking..
