KDE and double screen when hdmi cable active

Yes,

I am running One 2011 and KDE desktop. It is a 64 bit laptop and it has an HDMI cable
which works with the plasma hdtv just fine when hooked up.

However, there appears a double image of the KDE desktop whenever the HDMI cable is
plugged in. At the same time, there is only one KDE image displayed image on the HDTV.

There are settings to correct this?

Thanks.
