With the Mandrake 10.0 cd you can easily install Mandrake 10.0, which has kde 3.2, yes.

It's also possible to download the kde 3.2 source and build it yourself if you have a weekend to spare.

I feel your pain, my brother...

I tried 10.0, but it wouldn't see my eth0 card (uses tulip on 9.1 and works), nor could I get sound to come out of my speakers, although everything looked fine. (Yes, I turned up the default muted/zero crap.)

I had everything else, but it wasn't acceptable. I did like KDE 3.2, and have done some research - apparently, 9.1 may not have the required packages to make KDE 3.2 run, but 9.2 may. Search for "KDE 3.2 mandrake 9.1" and you'll find lots of people just like you (and me). Personally, I've resigned to KDE 3.1 on my 2.4.21-0.13mdk kernel, and am, as we speak, compiling a streamlined 2.4.21 for my box.

There is a rumor about that you can just remove KDE, and make sure you have another window manager, like ICEwm or Gnome. Be careful, though. I stripped KDE and lost all window managers completely. Once your KDE free, then you can use your other wms to do some things and get KDE 3.2 mdk rpms from the net, and slap em in.

If you find the magic incantations, let me know.

Oh, I almost forgot. GOOD LUCK!

Go to easy URPMI and update your media to use the latest.

Get into run level 3, use urpmi to download the latest kde sources.
