Angry KDE 3.2 crashing on logout

When I logout of KDE 3.2 the system seems to crash and the command prompt appears at my home directory. This didn't happen until I uninstalled Acronis OS selector.

Specs:
Using Mandrake 10.1 Official
KDE 3.2
Dell Inspiron 9100 latptop
bootloader: LILO with graphical menu
Boot device: /dev/hda
using graphical boot works fine on login

on logout the following text appears instead of the graphical logout:
...

Thought about just uninstalling mandrake, erasing partition and reinstalling mandrake but don't know if that will work. I'm a fairly new linux user. Thanks for the help.

easy to fix

Well I decided to just reinstall mandrake and it works fine now, though I had to delete all user settings and back up all files. Oh well.
