Question KDE 3.2 crashes when using fullscreen apps (Mandrake 10.1)

Well, what it says, really. This happened to me three times today. Twice when playing Starcraft with cedega, thinking it was a cedega problem and once when I tried to play Globulation2, which I also set to fullscreen mode. What happened in all cases was:

1. Application crashes
2. Slightly tilted horizontal lines of are shown
3. The nVidia logo shows up
4. KDE 3.2 restarts

Any ideas? I have a nVidia GeForce2 MX 400 (64 MB) graphics card and I am using nVidia's Linux graphics driver version 1.0-6629. If it's relevant, there was a problem with X windows not starting after I had installed the driver and followed nVidia's instructions but I've solved it by adding "modprobe nvidia" to the end of the /etc/rc.local file. Any ideas?
