xine-win32 win32-codecs and real-codecs are the ones I usually install to play most video files.

I will try the xine ones, I avoided these because I did not have xine-player installed.

You don't need to have the Xine UI installed in order to use the codecs or xine libs in other apps.

Here is the thing reddaz, I installed the xine codecs, but it still does not allow kaffeine to work when I am playing an mpeg4 movie file.

I know Mplayer works along with KMPlayer, but I wanted to get Kaffeine to play them and it wont for some reason.

Kaffeine handles everything else but not MPEG4 sound files, video is great, but no sound when using kaffeine.

Try using the codecs from mplayers website. If you go to the downloads section, click on the other binary codecs, extract the tarball and then copy the codecs to /usr/lib/win32. You may need to uninstall the rpm version of the codecs first, which you can always reinstall if needed.
