k3b problem.

mandrake 10.0.

Lot of problem with k3b.I have installed it .A nice work.running well.
when i give burn it just hangs. When i give erase cd-rw it just hangs.
it is hanging.!!!!This not only to me my frien's also.So obviosly k3b have bug or what?
I have updated to latest version also but it hangs as well.

So can u pls figure it out?

Any error messages?
k3b prints out status messages as it progress, what is the last thing it prints before it hangs?

Note that k3b is ony a GUI front end for other programs that do the actual burning. It's possible the problem lies with the way one of these other programs is configured and not with k3b itself.
In any event, more info is needed from you before we can be of much help.

no message just hangs And the entire screen is blanked.

This is a puzzler

If you go into Settings->Configure K3B->Notifications Tab, then click on the "More Options" Button then you can tell k3b to write a log file.
Do this, then examine the log file and you will maybe gain some insight.
