Something is going on with my windows98 crossing linking with my Mandrake 9.2 connection setting with the internet.
I know it doesn't sound right, but I know it is.
I am back on the web with Mandrake 9.2, on the same PC I was having problems with.
I booted-up onto Windows 98 and removed the modem settings and reinstalled my ISP Installation settings, inside Windows 98. Once I did this, I booted back onto Mandrake 9.2 and dialed onto the net and I was able to get right onto the internet with Konqueror with no problems. My Mandrake 9.2 is so much faster when surfing on the internet, than either Windows 98 or my Windows XP. I don't know what that seems to be the case.
So there is definitely a cross linking problem going on where Windows 98 and Mandrake are cross-linking and getting confused when communicating with my browser settings, when dial-up onto the internet. How or why this is going on, I don't know.
It never does it when I boot-into Windows XP, then boot-into Mandrake 9.2, it just does it on occasion, when I boot into Windows 98, then into Mandrake 9.2, because my windows 98 browser will hang-up/stall just like my Mandrake Konqueror browser, and that's when I start to say and feel, oh, oh....
Now, that being said, this problem has not occured on my newer PC running the same Operating systems, with same set-up, as in triple boot, windows98-windowsXP-mandrake9.2.

All you do is extract it into a directory and run the file MozillaFirebird.
Try that and see if it works.
