Hi i'm newbie who just install LE2005 and i did not encounter any difficulty. It was very easy and iam really happy !! everything is recognize (usb stick, camera...) and sound works well
I just have a little problem and i will need some assistance please.
I can't connect to internet. Well i m sure i can it just i don't know how to manage the setting.
Under xp, i had to enter 'connect to internet using broadband with passport and user name' and i can't find it now on le2005 where should i enter these password and user name.
thank in advance !!
I installed Mandriva on mine with a cable internet connection and it was online on the very first boot. Did you leave DHCP in the auto mode? If you manually put in an IP, that could be your problem.
What type of broadband do you have? Cable, ADSL(PPPoE,PPPoA)etc.?
Anyway go to Mandrake Control Centre(KMenu->System->Configuration->Configure your Computer)
There Click on Network and Internet->Setup a new network interface.....
Now you get a list of supported connections, choose the right option and configure it....
Good, as I said, go to Mandrakelinux Control Centre, and choose adsl. Your network device should be detected in the next step. After that, see if your Country/Provider is listed, if not choose ¨Unlisted - Edit manually¨. Here choose the right protocol if you know it, otherwise, as the dialog would say choose PPPoE. Next enter username/password and test the connection.
