Right, that's why I suggested getting the horizontal sync and vertical refresh from your monitor's manual, or searching for it on google. Once you have those, use whatever XFree86 configuration tool you prefer (run xf86config, edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 manually, or use something else) and enter those refresh rates when it asks about your monitor.
