Issue Files

I'm trying to get a message to display to my users before they log into Linux. All the Documentation I've read says that If you specify your message in the File /etc/issue this will be displayed before your login in prompt.

Has anyone managed to get this to work. Is there some setting I need to Turn on before this will work

I'm using Mandrake 9.1 and I'm logging in using the SSH daemon.

Thanks

Flossie

In your sshd_config, locate and uncomment, or add, the line "Banner /etc/issue.net".
