is there a common lexmark driver??

Hello.
I have just bought a lexmark P706 printer which I would like to install.
Mandrake shows it as a z700-p700 usb printer in auto detection, but also
says that it is a raw printer (no driver). what would be the best driver to
install. I've tried a few lexmark drivers with no real result. Is their a
common lexmark driver??

d00d the best advice i can give you is "trial and error"

when it comes down to the simple fact of -> lexmark + linux
the only comment there is really is -> good luck ...

the lexmark support in linux is absolutly the dumps, and all
you can do is try different things and see if you can get it goin ..

linuxprinting.org makes no mention of this printer .... nor have i seen
it on lexmarks site ... so maybe see if there is a "related" printer
that is supported and try 'its' driver ..
