Is the 64 bit version of Mandriva Powerpack multilib enabled?

Will my 32-only apps work without any extra effort on my part?

I believe that both 32 bit and 64 bit applications can be run on Mandriva 64 bit, but not both versions of the same application. (For example, you can install either the 32 bit or the 64 bit version of firefox, but not both.)

Note - this is based on the advice that I have read. I do not use 64 bit and so cannot confirm from personal experience.

Yes you can.

But not the other way around, that is...

You may not install 64bit apps on a 32bit system.
