ipod read only???

when I run dmesg I get a line reading:

HFS+-fs warning: Filesystem was not cleanly unmounted, running fsck.hfsplus is recommended. mounting read-only.

and when I click the sunc button in gtkpod it gives me a list of errors like this:

Could not open file "/mnt/NomaSS/iPod_Control/Music/F16/gtkpod00259.mp3" for writing.

I'm assuming I need to run fsck.hfsplus but I don't know how. The mount point for my iPod is /dev/sda /mnt/NomaSS what command should I run to "run fsck.hfsplus" ???

I wasn't even aware you could mount HFS under Linux as read-write! Surprise!

Anyway, normally you would want to format your iPod with fat32 or something when you use it under Linux. If you are not already aware, HFS+ is a Mac/Apple filesystem. If you REALLY insist on using HFS+, then you need to install the "hfsplusutils" rpm, which you should be able to easily locate using rpmdrake. Then you will have the necessary hpfsck command. Have fun!
