MCC = "Mandriva Control Center"
You can access it by "System/Configuration/Configure your Computer" or something like that. (I'm not in front of my linux box right know). There should be somewhere a security setting set to HIGH. Try to set it to Standard.
If you can't find it please reply to this message and I'll tell you the exact way to set it.
su to root and enter "mcc" in the console. Try "locate mcc" if you need to find it. Also, most modules have their own program you could start instead. I don't remember the name but it might be called "netdrake"
You could try "locate drak | grep 'sbin/' to get a list of mcc modules. They usually have drake or drak in the name, and are in the /sbin or /usr/sbin directory.
but i cant find MCC, i installed MDV with minimal things ( cca 300mb )
[root@janez3k sbin]# locate mcc
/usr/share/mcc
/usr/share/mcc/themes
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default/configure-monitor-mdk.png
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default/MandrakeUpdate.png
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default/XFdrake-mdk.png
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default/autologin-mdk.png
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default/backup-mdk.png
/usr/share/mcc/themes/default/boot-mdk.png
and so on with .png files
I believe the module you are looking for is "dracsec", so you can run that one directly. Perhaps the "mcc" program is only installed if you install the xorg server.
You might also want to look at the drakperm program.
Also, after su'ing to root you could try executing "bash -l" so that you are using a bash login shell, which set's up the roots users paths.
