Installing urpmi

Hi all,

Well I'm having a little problem setting up my intenet connection. The thing is that I have a win modem and Mandrake does recognize it. yes it does!!! And when I try to setup a connection it says that Kernel that is installed (default one) 2.4 doesn't support this.So I have to download it and the thing is I don't have urpmi installed

My question is is there a way to install urpmi seperately and install it by compiling or by rpm?

or is there a way to update Kernel in some other way???
