Installing Mdk 10 over 9.2: Delete partitions first or not?

Hey,

After trying to get Mandrake 9.2 to work, and failing, I decided to buy 10 and see if that worked any better (hopefully it has a newer ALSA version with support for my card in it). In any case, I'm wondering how to do the upgrade. Would it be best to remove the Linux partitions and start over, or just install to the existing partitions? I'm not bothered about deleting the partitions since I've not stored anything non-replaceable in them. I thought I should maybe delete the partitions to avoid any conflicts with my existing settings (which are likely to be screwed).

Opinions? Which would be best?

Thanks.

You don't need to remove the partitions, if you wish to avoid conflict you can format the partition where Mandrake 9.2 is.
