Installing Mandriva 2007 live cd

I downloaded and burned mandriva-one-2007-gnome3.iso image from the mandriva website. When I booted from the cd a mandriva page appeared with a bluish bar advancing at the bottom. And all of a sudden, I got a bunch of error messages saying something like "cannot mount hdb/..." or "error ....".

I only have a windows OS now. Is there something I can do to make the live cd work ?

Specify motherboard, I suspect that's what is causing the problem.
