I am just wondering, how would I go about installing Linux from an NTFS partition. I have downloaded the image file. I'm gonna try editing it and I'll pos tit herefor all to see.
If you have a running Linux OS currently, you can install 10.1 from the NTFS partition while you are in Linux. If you don't have a running Linux OS, then you have to put the unpacked ISOs onto a fat, fat32, or some other Linux partition that the install process can read from, it can't read from NTFS, I have tried. You then need to burn the boot.iso image to a CD. Boot from that, then just follow the instructions.
If you have an externel usb fat32 drive, there is an image that can use that. Produce a boot floppy with the image refered to in the README or INSTALL.txt file, and copy the images to the usb drive.
This would allow you to install to more than one machine also.
