Installing Kernel Source

I am using Mandrake 9.0.
I started a thread regarding installation of a driver for my modem see :-
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...5&goto=newpost

I seem to have come to a dead end with the last problem shown in the thread - i.e. how to install the Kernel source, which I have to do before I can compile my modem driver.

You have to install "ncurses", im pretty sure its on your discs, so look a little harder. If it not, look here:

actually, if you have urpmi setup correctly, you can just do "urpmi kernel-source" and it will get it for you. ;) To set up urpmi well, follow the directions at http://plf.zarb.org/~nanardon

urpmi will get any dependencies you need.

Thanks - urpmi did the trick. It installed a file libncurses-devel-5.27mdk.i586, so I guess that is where ncurses was hiding.
