Installing Guide

Hi.

I have tried time and time again and thread and thread again. But no one can seem to help me with my problem. My problem is installing. I can't get any downloaded program to install. I was wondering if someone can make an installing guide to help all of us "NEW" Linux Users. If someone could do that or tell me how to install anything or tell me where a guide like that is... That would be very helpful.

You didn't post anything about what kind of file. What kind of program, what kind of system you have. What options and packages you have for installing. Or anything at all realated to your problem. So either stop asking, or read the dang forum rules and DO IT RIGHT

Note the above posted site is somewhat generic.

If you already have a Running Mandrake system (for which the documentation is on the CD's and their web site...) then the FIRST thing you should do is go to the web site listed in my sig and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS.

All software thereafter should be installed either as indicated or via the "INSTALL SOFTWARE" program AFTER you have done what it says.
