You don't!

Doing so "break" mandrake to no end leaving you with an unstable system.

Fix your URPMI as instructed below.

Make it work correctly and you'll never bother with tarballs again.

----

If it didn't work... then the reason is...

a) Your internet connection is not working
b) Your resolver is not working
c) You did not set up urpmi correctly
d) You did try to set it up correctly but the remote site you specified is unavailable, choose another
e) You did set it up correctly and the remote site WAS available, but it no longer is, or is too busy
f) You are lacking a package required by urpmi...
g) You were NOT logged in as root when you tried any and all of the above.

urpmi urpmi

to find out the latter.

Well. Its mostly that I want to know that because alot of problems that I have is installing programs that are not on URPMI. Thats Kind of what I want to know. And I cant even find RPMDrake!!!!

Also 95% of Problems are solved by opjose sig saying 95% of the problems are solved by going to the sight and reading it and about 95% of the new problems out there are mine!!!

I needed to get that out but also that sight cant help me with geting apollo which is not on URPMI.

RPMDRAKE = "INSTALL SOFTWARE"

It's right in the menu.

URPMI can be used from the command line.... as can RPMDRAKE.

Sheez

"I needed to get that out but also that sight cant help me with geting apollo which is not on URPMI"

use "urpmi --wget, to get distant files"

You might have to do some more reading.
