Installation problem. LE 2005

Hey. I tried to install Mandriva LE 2005 from the DVD and it hung in the graphic mode. So I tried the text mode and I noticed it got to the part where it says;

Code:

* have to insmod ide-cd
*            needs ide-cd

and that is where it stops. The little underscore keeps flashing, but nothing appears to be happening. I left it like it for just short of an hour before I restarted back into windows. I tried again in the graphical mode, I used Alt-F3 to see the logs and same again, stuck with the ide-cd thing. Any suggestions?

Could be that you got a bad DVD. do the checksum thing to see if it's ok.

The DVD is fine. I've installed it now, the problem was that I needed to do linux noapic. Someone on another forum told me
