Installation error
Hi,
I've been using Mandrake for a number of years and decided to try Mandriva on my Laptop (spec p3, 128mb, 10gb hdd). When I get to the partitioning during the install it gives me an error message "fsck failed to check /dev/hda5 with exit code 0 or signal 11". I've done a scandisk on the hdd under window$ but still no luck. How can I use fsck to resolve the error if I don't have Linux installed? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Andrew |

How is your HD partitioned??? You may want to use a partitioning tool to try to investigate the problem or even backup your data on the affected partition and format it. If this is the "/" partition, make sure that you split "/home" into a separate partition so you don't lose data. |
I have a single 10GB hard drive split into / /home /usr /var /tmp and swap. There was no Data on the partition i'm installing on and i've already formatted the partition. Anyone seen this error before?
