Unhappy install xine player

when install xine player, i gave #./configure and #make and#make install after the install how can i open xine player.where it is installed when i query with rpm said not installed..i use "xine-lib-1.0.tar.gz" this packages....

When you did ./configure did any errors come up? If not and it installed correctly, it should be installed in /usr/local/bin/xine and it should have automatically created a link in /usr/bin. If you type xine it should open up and play.

Or, type

locate xine
