Hey i am new to this forum and to linux pretty much. When i try to install Mandriva le 2005 i get this error:

An error occured
mounthing partition /dev/sda1 in directory /mnt/mnt/win_c failed (no such file or directory)

it happens when i try to go on after sitting up my partitions.

Computer Harddrive set up

2x 36g western digital raptors in raid 0 <--- for win XP

1x 80 gig sata drive <--- has 2 partitions...one is for windows for storing downloads and what not and the other half is for linux

i had the linux installer auto allocate the empty space on the linux partition and it created the root, swap, boot(i think that what it was called) partitions then i clicked on next and it poped up saying do u want to write the partition table...clicked yes...then it said formating sdc5...then it went to the error stated above.

i have tried both 64bit and 32bit versions of le2005 and get the same error.

i can install mandrake 10.1 with no problem though(on the same harddrive set up)
