hey everyone-

im still pretty new to linux. I tried out SuSE on my desktop PC with limited success...couldn't get a lot of the drivers to work for sound and video and whatnot...so i'm looking to mandriva as a stepping stone to bigger and better linux systems because from what i've researched most people seem to think it's a little easier to learn and operate on.

the thing that i like about mandriva is that it has support for Mac and PC....and i have a powerbook and PC and have always missed the fact that I can't just sync them like i could with a PC and PC. SO my questions is to whether or not it's a possibility for me to "synch" two computers if they're running linux? and does linux even have that function?

anyone have any thoughts?

Just a thought as I have yet to play with a Mac. If you install hfsutils in Mandriva on your pc, would you not have read and write capability to and from the Mac from the linux install on your pc? Here is the hfsutils description:
