First of all, rumour has it indead that Mandrake recognises the SpeedTouch USB at installation and it works right away. I've tried 8, 9, 10, 10.1 (dowload versions) and it didn't. Sorry Mandrake people your distro is one of the best, but...
I had some problems with 10.1 and kernel 2.6. So I went back to 10 and kernel 2.4. Then I followed the procedure on
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.p...TALL?rev=HEAD. This is the user mode driver.
There is a kernel mode driver to, some say it's faster and more stable. I've never tested it, since user mode works fine.
I'm here, so it works ;-)
Don't forget to _disable_ the servce "internet" in Mandrake Controlecentre. It loads the kernel mode driver, and both together don't work.
